VIHANG PRAKASHAN was founded in 1998 with the intension of publishing high value Marathi literary works. Mr. B. D. Kher’s ‘Hiroshima’ was the first novel (2nd edition) published by us at the hands of Hon. Mr. Sharad Pawar, the then MP of India. Followed, a best-seller novel on the life of Revered Pandurang Shastri Athavale: ‘Deha Zala Chandanacha’ by Rajendra Kher was published that made revolution in Marathi world of publication. We received many national and international awards to our publications. Our books are translated in 3 languages viz. English, Hindi and Gujarati and received great response from readers and critiques. After bagging successes in such publications, we formed our policy which is given below:

Dos and Don’ts

We publish novels/books basically written on ancient Indian subjects/on Indiology which have high moral values. We publish classics, fantasies, subjects relevant to world-reader, philosophical subjects, novels on great characters from ancient epics, Para-psychological subjects etc.

We do not publish subjects that present melodramas, vulgarity, nudity, erotica, underworld, tragedies and so-called realistic subjects. We also do not publish poetry, educational books, souvenirs and books which are focused mainly on problems. We are interested in the subjects which carries solutions!
